It all begins with an idea.
Eric Blitz and Andy Laties have played together for 15 years, with Continuity of Struggle--accompanying political comix artist Seth Tobocman--and with Urchestra, presenting Kurt Schwitters' sound-art masterpiece Ur Sonata, AKA Sonata in Primeval Sounds. Blitz studied with Andrew Cyrille; Laties with Douglas Ewart--both of AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians).
Today we’ve posted our new album, “Thou Art Continuous”, on Bandcamp. The two tracks are “Mutual Aid”—Eric Blitz on percussion and Andy Laties on tenor sax—and “Yugen”—Eric on percussion and Andy on shakuhachi.
